SAN ISIDRO WIND POWER PROJECT TARGETS COMPLETION BY 2nd QUARTER OF 2025
CATARMAN NORTHERN SAMAR/ MAY 13, 2024---The Provincial Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (PEDIPO), conducted an ocular inspection to assess its current progress and to discuss collaboration with Lihangin Wind Energy Corp (LWEC) for their corporate social responsibility (CSR) program for their host communities.
The San Isidro Wind Power Project, a renewable energy project by Lihangin Wind Energy Corp, features 33 wind turbine generators with a capacity to produce 206.25 megawatts of electricity and over 130 transmission towers. Currently in its pre-construction phase, the project is on track for full-scale construction in the second quarter of 2024.
To show the support of the provincial government, the head of PEDIPO, Mr. Jhon Allen Berbon, offered assistance to fast-track the process faced by the project for its construction phase, this visit began with a series of presentations led by Ms. Eula Fae Sola, LWEC Project Manager.
After the inspection, discussed sustainable corporate social responsibility plans for the host communities that will support livelihood, tourism, and others while making sure these align with the province's goal of promoting sustainable economic activities. Looking forward, the integration of wind power infrastructure with a progressing economic enterprise presents a compelling model for sustainable tourism development in Northern Samar.#
